How it works

Resistors in parallel share the same voltage, and their conductances add. Two 1 kΩ resistors combine to 500 Ω, so a 12 V supply pushes 24 mA total — 12 mA through each branch.

Run the DC analysis and watch both branches light with equal current. Change one resistor and the branch currents diverge while the node voltage stays put.
